SSC CGL EXAM PATTERN

SSC CGL Tier 1

  • Question type – Objective Multiple choice
  • Duration – 60 minutes
  • Number of questions – 100
  • Total marks – 200
  • There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer.
  • There is no sectional cut off.

SSC CGL Tier 2

  • Question type – Objective Multiple choice

  • Duration – 120 minutes for each paper

  • Number of questions -500

  • Total marks – 800

  • There is a negative marking of 0.50 Marks for each wrong answer. 

 

Mandatory paper for all posts – Paper I and Paper II

Paper I – Quantitative Aptitude 

Number of questions : 100

Total marks : 200

Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

 

Paper II – English Language and Comprehension

Number of questions : 200

Total marks : 200

Negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer

 

Paper III – Statistics

is valid only for candidates who have applied for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and Statistical Investigator 

 

 Paper IV – General Studies- Finance and Economics

is valid candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer 

 

SSC CGL Tier 3

  • Question type – Descriptive / pen and paper mode

  • Duration – 60 minutes 

  • Types of questions – Essay/ Letter/ Application/ Precis Writing

  • Total marks – 100

  • This test is conducted to evaluate candidates’ writing skills, ability to form opinions and arguments on certain topics, grammar and to check how an idea is conveyed.

 

SSC CGL Tier 4

  • Question Type – Data Entry Skill Test (DEST)/ Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

  • Online mode

  • Total Marks-  qualifying in nature

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Assistant Audit Officer

Essential Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University. Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/  Masters in Business Studies

Compiler Posts

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective Subject

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University  with minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th OR Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as  one of the subjects in graduation

All other posts

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. The candidates must possess Essential qualification on or before the closing date for receipt of online applications i.e. 23-01-2022.

Physical Fitness Requirements

There are certain Physical Standards requirements for Inspector (Central Excise/   Examiner/Preventive Officer), Sub-Inspector in NIA (National Investigation Agency) and Sub-Inspector in CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation)
